Ashlee obtained her medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She completed residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University in 2015 and followed this with the completion of a Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship at the University of Michigan in 2016. After fellowship, Ashlee stayed on as faculty at the U. In 2017, she was appointed to the position of Director of Pediatric Regional Anesthesia, and in 2023, Ashlee became the Director of the Pediatric Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine program for the University of Michigan. Her clinical and research interests include pediatric regional anesthesia and pain medicine as well as pediatric postoperative care and outcomes. Ashlee resides in Dexter, MI with her husband and their three children (Alex 8, Austin 6, and Abbie 3) and Maine Coon cat (Hank). Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, drinking a good cup of coffee or a nice glass of wine, gardening, and diving into a good historical fiction novel.
