Dr. Caitlin O'Brien received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in combined internal medicine-pediatrics at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City followed by fellowship training in pediatric critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins University. She is an assistant professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She serves as the Associate Director of the Pediatric Neurocritical Care Program and Medical Director of the Hopkins Outreach for Pediatric Education (HOPE) Center. Dr. O’Brien currently divides her time between clinical practice and translational research. Her research focuses on improving neurologic outcomes after pediatric cardiac arrest.
