Giles Nordmann

Giles joined the Army as a medical student. He has provided military medical care across the world, including expeditions in the Arctic circle, airborne operations, picking up casualties from the frontline on the MERT helicopter in Afghanistan to setting up a hospital to support the UN with >100,000 refugees in South Sudan. A part time academic and Professor with an MD in the Acute Coagulopathy of Trauma, he has an active interest in the utility of Additive Manufacturing and drones in medicine. With a clinical practice in Plymouth, he is now the Head of Defence Anaesthesia and his time is spent ensuring there are anaesthetists ready to deploy to support military and government activity anywhere in the world.
