There will be two Satellite Events running before the main conference. Click here for more information. 

 

The following workshops will run in parallel with the main programme. Please check the programme for potential clashes - but remember that all of the main programme will be recorded and available to watch after the event, so you don't need to miss any of the great content.

Lifestyle Medicine for Paediatric Anaesthetists: Practical Tools for Everyday Practice

Introducing clinicians to the 6 Pillars of Lifestyle Medicine (BSLM) and showing how LM principles can be used meaningfully in everyday paediatric practice.

TIVA for TOTS

A comprehensive session covering many aspects of TIVA use in children including modelling; before you start; mixing and the role of remifentanil; when, were and why TIVA, plus ‘how we do it’ in… airways, spines, eyes, neonates, MRI and endoscopy, led by a team of seasoned experts.

Craft as Therapy: Theatre Hat Making Workshop

There is increasing evidence that engaging in crafting activities improves wellbeing and mental health. This workshop aims to boost your wellbeing, facilitate connection with other delegates, as well as make yourself an individualised theatre hat and gain the skills & resources to make more. All the materials and equipment will be provided, along with tuition, to sew a personalised cotton theatre hat for you to take away. You will also receive a pattern to make more if you wish, male & female versions available. The £25 fee will be given to Plymouth charity Jeremiah's Journey which supports bereaved children - Jeremiah's Journey

Advanced Airway Management

Aimed at the generalist anaesthetist wishing to improve their paediatric advanced airway skills, this workshop will focus on improving skills with video and fibreoptic intubation techniques, emergency front of neck access; along with the opportunity to discuss difficult airway cases with the expert faculty.
